Factory Restore - Data Drive

I am thinking of doing a factory restore on my Acer laptop.
When it does the restore and reformats the c: drive, does it also wipe the d:Data drive too or will it leave that intact?

Assuming the D drive is the drive where the factory restore settings are kept, that will
remain intact

Thanks for the reply.
The D:Data drive was a 250GB partition with all my data and documents on, the partition with the restore cd/data is on a 9GB hidden partition.
I have done the restore, it does only rewrite/format/restore the C: drive.
