F1 at startup

I am getting a "F1 to continue" message at start up, I have used scannow and Chkdsk but to no avail, any ideas please?

something like checksum error / cmos battery state low?

We need to know what the other message is!!

Usually if you press delete to enter the bios and then go straight to save and continue then the error will not recur
