I have just bought a 500gb hard drive and it is in fat32. Should I format it to NFTS? Thanks.

Thanks, guys. That was quick.

open a command prompt window by going to 'start\run' and typing 'cmd'
To convert a disk to NTFS, type 'convert (drive letter): /fs:ntfs'
So for example, if you were going to convert your C: drive, you would type 'Convert c: /fs:ntfs' at the prompt.

Would this also apply to a USB powered extl drive?

should do yes

If you are referring to Fruit Bat /\0/\'s suggestion .... the answer is Yes, just make sure you put the correct drive Letter of your ext drive to convert.
