External Hard Drive

I currently have an external Hard Drive, connected via USB2. I'm considering getting a second drive to use for backups. Is there likely to be a problem having two USB drives connected at the same time?

If they are externally powered ther should`nt be.

Yes, they are externally powered. However, I once had a problem connecting two USB printers to my computer because they conflicted and I wonder if I might encounter a similar problem with these HDDs?

Anyone got any experience of using 2 USB HDDs on the same machine?

HAve used a 120Gb Archos and 20Gb Iomega together whilst shifting files around and had no problems. Chuck in a Digital Camera and thats three!

I'm going to try it out when I get a minute and see what happens. Watch this space for the results...

I've used two maxstor (sp?)250G ones on several machines with no problems. Each appears as a separate drive.
