Express Card Slot

  wrg 10:51 16 May 2007

Good morning all.

My wife has and Advent 7113 laptop, which has a express card slot. Would someone please be kind enough to explain to me what this is and what it can be used for.

Many thanks

Hi, in simple terms it is a slot which allows peripherals to be added to the laptop (also to some PC's) such as USB items and PCMCIA items allowing such items to take advantage of the latest connection technology. Said it was simple didn't I!

Simple what is simple. What do you mean by USB items. Sorry to sound so thick but for some reason I cannot visualize it.

Brilliant, that has made it much clearer for me. Can I just ask one more question, I have a laptop that has a PCMIA slot, is this the same as an Express Card Slot?

Thanks for your response to all of the above.
