i seem to have accidently deleted explore.exe so now i cant open some pages can anyone advise me how to get it back thankyou

I don't see how you did, as this file would be used in the background...

i'm on windows xp when i try to open my docs an error message appears thus...explorer.exe AppVer 6.0.2900.2180 ModName:ntdll.dll

are you sure it is explore.exe? this is often virus related click here

How do you know you have deleted it, are you getting an error message.

to compound the problem i cant find my win xp cd-rom , hope there is a way round this thanks

If you look in the I386 folder in C:\WINDOWS\I386. if it will let you, you will see the EXPLORER.EX_ file double click it

Or you may find it in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\I386 the file should be in there and also in the Windows Folder. If you cannot find it I can send it just over a Mb

Please contact the Forum Editor to ask him to remove your e-mail address.

Send me a Mail through the little yellow envelope. I will enclose it as a zip Attachment as your mail server may block it as it's a exe file
