Oops mis-typed the error message before!
Anyway, this error message keeps appearing and seems to be interfering with programs, causing them to seize up. I am running Windows 98.

I think there may be be a virus onboard and have tried to load Norton Antivirus 2004 but it won't have it - just sits there looking at me!

Any suggestions please?

when does this error occur?

The error message occurs as soon as you boot up and then continues to reappear even though you click "Close" or "X".
It also says that "If you continue to experience problems try turning off your computer" This also does not help.
