Exel 2002 XP3 Protecting Cells

Is it possible to protect cells by what they contain rather than to highlight those cells which require protection?

It would be useful to be able to protect cells which, for example, contain text, are blank and/or contain a formula.

Taking formulas as an example:

Select the entire sheet by clicking the grey square to the left of A and above 1.

Format > Cells > Protection tab, untick Locked, click OK.

Press F5, click Special, tick Formulas, click OK.

Format > Cells > Protection tab, tick Locked, click OK.

Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet.

Many thanks, VoG™!

That really is a big help. :)
