exe. files are they unique to a particular program

I have been setting up scanner prgram from downloaded files that came in in 12x 1.5mb
e-mail attachments from the supplier support.
4 of the files are the .dll library
3 library files and an exe. file.

however only the library files came in, and having downloaded it now 3 times it appears the
exe. aint gonna come.
So will any exe. [install prog] do
or is there some way I can 'unpack' the files and get'em to the appropriate system folder?

The .exe (execute) is the main file that uses the others.

Without it you wil be nable to insall / run the scanner.

It's possible your ISP is removing the EXE files because they have the potential of containing a virus, I think hotmail will do just that. Is it possible for the supplier to send them in ZIP format? Or can't you download them from the makers site? Tell us the maker and perhaps someone maybe able to find a link.
