Exchange Mailboxes

Can anyone suggest why, when I create a user, their mailbox is not created. I am including a mailbox alias which, by excluding it, is the 'official' way of not creating a mailbox for a user. The OS is Windows SBS 2003 with Exhchage Technology, ie Exchange is built into the OS. The basic user account is there as I can log in using the new account name. The OS has licences for 30 users with 23 in use. Original users set up ok and have been in use some time with no problems.

Is AD configured to replicate the user account to Exchange?

Have you allowed enough space for the Mail store?

Here's where I show my ignorance, what's AD

Plus if the mail store was to small wouldn't that generate an error message. Is there a rule of thumb for the mail storage size. Individual mail boxes are set to a default size but I assume your talking about the total size that the mailbox store can be

Ah, brain has returned, I assume (again) AD = Active Directory, in which case the answer is yes.
