Excel97 worksheet password

I have a very old spreadsheet that I need to unprotect to get some formulas from.

I can't remember the password to unprotect the sheet and it won't let me view the VB code.

Is there a simple & free way of unprotecting the sheet or gaining access to the VB code please?

Cheers,
Lee

Try click here

If the VBA code is protected, that is more difficult.

Thanks for the link, but no joy I'm afraid.

Does "more difficult" mean can't be done?

Can you export/import it to another excel spread sheet? This may allow you to edit the code...

I really believe you have a piece of software which continually scans the PCA forums for threads with 'Excel' in them. This is connected to alarm bells all over your house. How else are able to respond so quickly?

Apologies to Leepy Lee for the hijack.
