Excel won't run

Some time ago, when I had to have my hard disk reformatted, the "helpful" techy loaded Microsoft Office Professional. As I already owned Office 2003, and Word would not run, I deleted all Office professional and installed Office 2003 Student/Teacher edition. OK for Word but now I can't run Excel - it's asking for the original Professional disk to load a file.
How do I tell my computer that I don't want to run an un-bought Professional but do want to install the genuine 2003? i.e. how do I get rid of all traces of propfessional?

unistall all office software, run ccleaner both cleaner and registry cleaner, then reinstll everthing. If that doesn`t work download open office 3.0 it`s a good replacement for office.Moral of the story don`t use stolen software.
