Excel range question

I am fairly new to Excel and have a question
I have a number of worksheets which link back to a source data file. These sheets include a lot of formulaes and graphs.

My question is, if I added an extra load of lines to the source data file, is there an easy way of telling all the formulae that the range has been extended, without modifying each one individually e.g. all the ones with % now need to know there are more lines, without modifying all 15 formulae cells individually.

All, and I mean ALL, references will be updated accordingly.

Even those that point at 'fixed' cells (as in $A$1:$C$3).

In this instance if you inserted a column at B or C, any references to $A$1:$C$3, will be automatically updated to look at $A$1:$D$3.

If you insert a column at A, you haven't changed the source data range, but you will move it, so the new references will be $B$1:$D$3.

If you go to 'insert', 'name', 'define', select the range you wish to change and then update the 'Refers to:' field and OK it, you should achieve your aim.
