Does anyone know how to clear out the autofilter buffers on a Pivot Table?

I use a standard worksheet which is formatted to have several columns of data pasted into it. There are then several other columns containing formulas that act upon the pasted data.

The worksheet also contains a pivot table targetting the data sheet. The problem I have is that I import one months worth of data into a sheet and refresh the pivot table. The principal column is a date field and the pivot table allows you to filter by date. However I then clear the data sheet, import new data and refresh the pivot table. Although the deleted data is gone from the pivot table, the option to filter by the deleted data remains. This results in huge autofilter lists when there may be only a couple of filterable items in the current data.

Any ideas anyone?

I don't use Pivot Tables myself (have experimented but ...).

Does click here help?

That looks like it will do the trick. I will give it a try at work tomorrow.

Thanks for your help.
