Excel, how do I put a tick in a columb

Hi everyone,
title explains it, How do I put a tick in a columb rather than a figure, text, or a formula.
There is no tick button on the keyboard.

You can enter P then format the cell font as Wingdings2.

Or did you mean that you wanted a Checkbox?

A Checkbox is a box that you click and it toggles between ticked (American checked) or not. You can link its status (True or False) to a cell.

OK VoG, I understand this now but I don`t need to link it to other cells so I will use a tick from the wingdings.

wingdings2 using a P

you could also use

webdings using an A
