Is is possible to customise a cell so that if I type in a number, it adds an 'm' onto the end?

As part of a fitness programe I want to keep track of the distance I am rowing but with lots of other information on the form, I dont want to use up additional cells with simply 'm' in them to appear next to the distance. Is it possible to format a cell so that when i type in 2000, for example, Excel shows it as 2000m?

Right click on the cell in question, select Format Cell then select Custom.

Enter #######"m" into the 'Type' box and click ok.

Worked a treat, thanks very much!

Using the code above, when I enter a number with a decimal point in it (52.5) for example, it is rounding the number up to 53. How Can I alter the forumala so that m is still shown but the number shows, say, two decimal places?

Try a Custom format

0.00"m"
