Excel help

Just a question for the Excel experts round here (VoG!!):

I've created a spreadsheet and a summary form for that spread sheet made up of lots of functions extracting data from the spreadsheet. What I want to do now is to have way by which a person can type in a start date and end date, and the summary functions then only execute on spreadsheet cells that are between those two dates.

I guess what I mean is that I want to define the range in which the functions extract the necessary data by the use of dates, which can be altered at will.

Does that make any sense?! Any help will be very very gratefully received :)

See click here - is this the sort of thing.

I have no idea whether it worked as no feedback.

Using a series of sumproduct functions seemed to be the key.

Yes, and you did well to use -- rather than * to coerce the values from Boolean to integer. For an explanation see the explanations from Aladin Akyurek

I would have replied sooner but I have been under the care of a local hospital for a dislocated and badly broken ankle. I'll never get through airport security again with the amount of pins and plates that I'm now carrying. Not that I'm in a fit state to leave the house, let alone fly!

I'm very sorry to hear that VoG :(

Fracture dislocations of the ankle are tricky things to fix, and yes, lots of pins, plates and screws.

I hope you recover quickly and get hobbling then walking soon :)

Thanks for the link!

See what happens when you lose it and end up kicking the desk!
