Excel formula to number

  shellship 12:28 07 Nov 2008

I used to be able to do this but can't remember how - despite looking in Excel Help. I have a column of figures that are the result of a formula. I want to add a new column that shows these results as a number only that I can use elsewhere. Is my expert VoG, or anyone else, around today, please.

Could you qualify what you mean by 'use elsewhere', it could make a difference, I think.

"Copy" the contents of the column which uses formulae, and use "Paste Special" to paste in only the "Values".

You should be able to use the results of a formula in another formula without having to copy the values elsewhere.

Thanks all. mcmcc got it. I still forget about "Paste Special".
