Excel Formula - help please !

I have a formula in cell A3 which is A1/A2. Straightforward enough. there will either always be entries in both A1 and A2 or neither. When there are neither cell A3 reads something like #DIV! which I understand is because there are zero values included in the division. How can i get the cell to remain blank if A1 and A2 are blank ?

=IF(OR(ISBLANK(A1),ISBLANK(A2)),"",A1/A2)

Have same formula going across columns to column E with totals in column F for each row. It is fine until I get to the box F3 which is dividing F1 by F2 & still gives #DIV! Is this because this is dividing cells which have formula's in them ? Can I ge tthis to remain blank until formula resluts are entered in F1 & F2 ?

=IF(ISERROR(A1/A2),"",A1/A2)
