Hi,Anyone know if its possible in excel to do a calculation that come out as 8 and one third rather than say 8.33%.CheersBrian
Format the result cell as Fraction.
VOGAny chance of providing me with an example?.CheersBrian
In A1 enter 25In B1 enter 3In C1 enter =A1/B1The result will be displayed as 8.3333Click in C1, Format > Cells and click Fraction.
Many thanks VOGIf I now wanted to take say a figure of 50K and divide it by 12 then multiply it buy the 8 1/3 to find a monthly amount how would you go about this. Appreciate your help with this.
Assuming that the 8 1/3 is meant to be a percentage, with the same numbers in A1, B1 and C1 and 50000 in D1 then in E1=D1*C1/(100*12)
Thanks once again VOG for your help and assistance
