Excel: finding and deleting duplicate rows

  John B 12:06 01 Feb 2007

I have a speadsheet with about 800 rows of data. Each row starts with a five-figure number.

Some rows have been accidentally duplicated when the sheet was compiled (about 10% of them and they are spread throughout the sheet).

Is there a way to get Excel to find these 'double entries' and delete them or do I need to do it manually?

Thanks in advance

That's done the trick and saved a great deal of time!

Thanks again
