Excel - Find

With excel 2000, can I use "Find" or "Replace" (in edit) to seek an item in more than one sheet at a time, or must I go to each sheet in turn to change the same item?

If you tick "within workbook" in the Edit > Find > within box, it will serach through the whole document and display each sheet where a match is found.

rmcqua, thank you for responding, I looked again in Edit-Find, but I have only a couple of options.

Search- by rows, by columns.
Look in - Formulas, Values, Comments.
Find Next, Close, Replace.
My version of excel is 9.0.2720

I suspect that rmcqua's suggestion may be a refinement in later version of Excel, or may have been added with another add-in, as I can't find in mine either (excel 2000)!

I have just done a search "using find in entire workbook in excel" and sure enough the scond hit says "New and Changed Features in Excel 2003. ... You can now search the entire workbook using Find and Replace." (see click here=)

As my original question has been answered (thanks). I think this is resolved, and I will start a new thread about buying excel 2003
