Excel - complicated drop down boxes

Please can anybody help - Windows XP and Office XP.

I would like to prepare a spread sheet containing a number of related drop down boxes.

Clicking on the first box (cell A1) gives a list of Options - Option1, Option2 and Options3 etc.

When we click on option 1, I would like it to bring up another list of Options, say ABC and D in another cell (cell B1)

If we clicked on Option 2, I would like cell B1 to bring up a different range of Option, say WXY and Z

And so on! Many thanks in advance.

Create your first List Box. Right click it and select Format control. In Input range specify A7-A9 and in Cell link select A6.

In A7:A9 write Option 1, Option 2, Option 3.

In D7-D15 (or however many you need) enter your second lot of possibilities A, B, C, D...I

In E7 enter the formula

=OFFSET(D7,3*($A$6-1),0)

and copy down to E8 and E9.

Build your second form and set its Input range to E7 to E9.

You may wish to change the actual cell addresses used - the above is just an illustration of how this can be done.
