I am trying to do my accounts using Exel but have problem I have not seen before. When I click on a cell to enter a figure as soon as I start to type the amount in the cell above it goes blank so I cannot add or subtract one amount from another. This happens what ever cell I use.Any ideas anyone.

Does it go back to normal when you finish typing ?

I notice that if I use too big a font in a cell, that one next to it sometimes goes blank,,,, but only untill I finish inputting the data.

,,,, there are a couple of experts on this site - i'm sure they'l get you sorted.

Does this happen in any workbook or just one?

If it is just one the workbook may be corrupted click here

I had this a few weeks ago I thought it was me going mad. Would be interested to here a solution to this. To me it happened on a workbook that was e-mailed to me (office 2003). I actually copied to new workbook at that cured it, I thought it maybe something in options set by the sender.
