Excel 2007 - cell selections not visible

  linden 15:39 20 Aug 2009

I am running Excel 2007 on Vista Home Premium. When I select a range of cells the area is only shown by a change in colour in the address letters and numbers. There is NO change in the cells themslves. Especially with multiple non-contiguous selections this is very annoying.

Coloured fill of all cells then shows a change if I select BUT coloured fill hides the grid lines!

Anybody have any ideas to try. Thanks in advance!!

Thanks. Good ideas, in fact a few on that thread. But no help I have tried a number of settings with Excel open and cells selected. I tried high contrast and a number of others but to no avail. I saw a suggestion to make a faint selection colour more visible - and that used high contrst!! I am suspecting Vista settings. In Explorer in Vista the highlighting is very faint when you drag folders and drop them. The PC is a laptop. So - any other ideas anyone?
