Excel allows you to keep column heads on the screen while you scroll down. Is there any way to keep column 1 on the screen while scrolling over the rest?

Select a cell in column B, then under Windows menu, select freeze pane.

I already have the column heads "frozen" so the only option I get is to unfreeze panes irrespective of the row in column B

Unfreeze panes, select cell B2 (assuming you headers are in row A) freeze, that should freeze headres and col A

'Row A' = Row 1

Thanks - that's just what I wanted. It will save me much horizontal scrolling & time
