Excel 2003 add-ins problem

I run Vista as an OS and hasve Microsoft Office 2003 on it.

When I open Excel 2003 I get the following message:

Excel experianced a serious error the last time the add-in 'c:\my documents\booking form for hobson.doc' was opened. would you like to disable this add-in?

To rectivate this add-in, click about microSoft Office excel on the help menu, and then click Disabled Items

Yes or No

If i click yes Excel opens and brings up a little box showing booking form for Hobson.doc and when I click OK it brings up another box with the next file in My Documents for me to click OK.

This continues, presumably until it reaches the last file.
I don't know what happens then as I have not reched there yet.

If I click No on the original window it closes Excel.

Although it says about rectivating the add-in the problem is that because the small window is open I cannot get into the help menu.

Can anyone tell me what has happened as I have never had this problem before.

Add-ins are .xla file format.
Are you sure you are not confusing the term "add-in" with something else?

Can you expand on what you are trying to do.
