Excel 2002. How do I stop it speaking to me?

I recently set Excel to say the words that had been typed in (useful for the task at hand) but now it says everything! I can stop it by clicking 'stop speaking' on the text to speech toolbar,but how do I disable the feature please?

tools, speech, show speach toolbar, then click on speak on enter, this button toggles it on/of.

That worked! It's been driving me to distraction.
