Excel 2000 (installed as part of Office 2000) on a Win 98SE machine crashes every time print preview is selected. It will however print normally without any probs.(The print preview in Word works normally).I have tried repairing and re-installing but with no joy.Any suggestions please?
Have you updated your graphics card driver recently? If so, try to roll back to the previous one. If not, try an updated driver.
Thanks jazzypopNo new graphics driver recently - very old card, a ATI Rage II. Am having trouble locating a driver - the ATI site this pm v v slow, will try again tomorrow am.
jazzypopNo luck with updated driver. Thanks for your suggestion but it looks like a reformat and instal job now.CheersIan
Have you downloaded the Service Packs for Office 2000? They were supposed to contain fixes for print preview crashes.See also click here Finally, many users have found that serching for and deleting .xlb files (menu customisations) has fixed this problem.
jazzypop - you're a STAR! Deleting the .xlb files worked. Many thanks you've saved me several hours work - I owe you one.Ian
