i have windows xp but do not have excel on it, can anyone please help me. All i can find to download is a read only one, but would like a workable one so i can bring some work home with me

Excel is NOT free and cannot be legally obtained by download.

Someone should be able to help you find an Excel compatible program. Just hang in for a bit.

I have some Supreme Office CDs that are supposed to be compatible with Microsoft. Haven't tried them myself as I don't want to break the seals. If you want one email me your address and I will send one to you.

Excel isn't free to download - it's a Microsoft Office program, and not part of WindowsXP.

The Open Office software that's linked by johnnyrocker is an excellent free alternative, and I can thoroughly recommend it.
