everything is 'paint shop pro'

I used to be able to see what kind of an file (.jpg, .bmp, .gif) each image that I had was. Since reinstalling everthing on my new computer, every image is classified, including under 'Properties', as a 'Paint Shop Pro image'. How can I return to the state where I can see what kind of an image I've got?

With thanks,

you need to change the picture "views" properties to show thumbnails

open My Documents > Tools > Folder options > View > and UNtick 'Hide extensions for known file types'
