Good morning - I would be grateful for some help please. When I open a website everything is in black and white there is no colour, also I think that some lines are missing, the words are there but the straight lines have gone. If I open a programme on my computer it looks and feels normal. I hope that this makes sense and that I have described the fault correctly. Thank you for your time - Ian
Don't know about Chrome but in IE8 go to tools, internet options, programs tab and make IE8 the default browser. Tick the box 'Tell me if internet explorer is not the default browser' Apply and ok. Back to tools, internet options, advanced tab, click on restore advanced settings tab. Apply and ok. If you have Ccleaner then run it in it's default mode. Latest version; click here Close all browsers before running. See if that helps.
Mat Alan and rdave13 - thank you for your help with this problem. Now I understand where it is from I can try and do something about it. I have carried out your instructions but it is not back to the way it should be. I have colurs now but no lines. Is there a way of re-installing IE8 ? or do you know a way getting the lines back onto the web pages ? The lines I am talking about are the ones that divide the various answers on "Helproom"( an example ). Thank you for your input.
In IE go to tools. internet options, adavanced tab and click on the reset tab that resets IE. You'll have to re-enable your add-ons and reinstall iespell. Close the browser. As for Chrome I'd uninstall it using Revo then reboot. Run IE first to see if ok then reinstall Chrome if you have to.
