Ethernet Splitter

  ah1802 15:16 16 May 2007

I currently have an Ethernet cable running in to my bedroom for my computer, but I also have an Xbox 360 I would like to connect to the internet. Previously I had it running of a wireless networking but I got a new router installed with a WPA2 encryption and the Xbox cannot support this. So instead of running another cable into the room I was wondering if it is possible to get and Ethernet splitter and connect the computer and the Xbox. If there is such a device please post a link for what I should be looking for.

Thanking You

I had an old ethernet hub I was not using and plugged the incoming cable into that and a patch from the hub to each unit - works well. I do not know of any other way of splitting ethernet.

As howard64 said you can use a hub but it will only share the band width equally not intelligently.
