ethernet card

I have a Ixtreme packard bell comp' how do i attach an ethernet card ?there seems to be a space on the back for one but nothing to 'fix' it to,[inside] can you help thanks in advance

To fit a PCI card, there needs to be a free PCI slot on the motherboard that matches up with a removable "blanking" plate at the back of the case. Often, the case has the necessary "blanking" plates to accommodate additional hardware, but there are no free PCI slots. The alternative is to use a USB 10/100Mbps ethernet adapter.

If its the Ixtreme MC 2969 it already has a network card already installed.
