Esystem 3086 laptop unable to start.

Hi There,

My daughter has the above laptop and she cannot get it to load up.
She gets the message: A disk read error occured, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to re-start.

If you do this then it just goes back to the message.

Can any one give me some advice as how to restore the computer, thank you.

Its struggling to read the HArd drive.

If its new then take it back.

If out of guarantee first try removing and refitting the hard drive, a remake of the connections may solve the problem.

Firstly, from the BIOS (press delete at startup)scan the hard drive settings. Also if the laptop has a floppy drive check there is no disk in it.

Or maybe try starting in safe mode.See if that works.
