I currently use the firewall that comes with XP, AVG anti-virus, windows defender and adaware...any other suggestions folks?

Freeware preferred!

Spybot S&D is another good anti malware (spyware adware etc.) program and it is freeware.

It probably wont be neccessary for you to have 2 or 3 running at once (this will slow your system down) unless you often go on high-risk sites but occaisional scanning with both could be useful (ensure you update them before you do this).

This is also a good way of removing any malware that noe doesnt recognise or cant remove.
