Error message on xp pro startup.

When I turned my pc on. It went through as normal, entered my login and it all seemed to load as normal. I then got an error message. I cant remember the exact wording but something like this. There are some files that require windows to work properly, that have been replaced by unregognized versions that may cause windows to become unstable. Please insert service pack 1 cd into your drive.
I dont think I have sp1 cd. Im sure I downloaded it from windows update. I think I have the win xp cd. Somewhere. Could it be one of the windows updates?? Thanks in advance for your time folks.

You can order a SP1 cd from microsoft for free, I dont remember how I did it because it was a little while ago. Alternatively, go to the microsoft website and download it.

If I downloaded it and burnt it to a cd. Would it accept that.
