I have an Acer 5630 laptop. Today I have strted to get the following message on startup:"(Red Cross) RTHDCPL.EXE - illegal system DLL relocationRelocation occured because the DLL c:/windows/system32/HHCTRL.ocx occupied an address range reserved for windows system DLLs.The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL"What has gone wrong please and how do I stop this coming up each startup? I have tried sfc /scnnow but to no avail.Who would be the vendor?ThanksPhil
It's caused by a conflict problem with the last XPSP2 security update and the Realtek HD Audio Control Panel. Install this fix from Microsoft to cure the problem.click here
