Error log item

The IP address lease for the Network Card with network address 001D605B13DA has been denied by the DHCP server (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

The above seems to appear most days in my error log. Anyone any ideas as to what it might relate to or identify. I am not aware of problems whilst using the pc. the 168.0.1 address is the Lan port of my router.

it could be that a firewall is blocking access.

Access to what? An unauthorised intruder. If so, it's doing it's job, but why record in Windows error log rather than the activity log of the firewall software?
