Error 53, file not found
Error 53 indicates there is a file missing that Windows expected to locate in a specific place. The error usually occurs after you install some software and try to run the new program. The problem is that one or more files were not installed or were corrupted during the installation.
Uninstall and reinstall the software. You can do this by going into the Start menu. In Windows XP, go to Settings, then click Control Panel, and from there click Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall the program by selecting it from the listed items. Now reinstall the program. After reinstalling, try updating the software from the company’s home page. A fresh install should fix the missing file that caused the problem.
