Year old device suddenly gets a mind of it's own and starts printing gibberish and eating loads of paper! I have to shut it down by accessing 'Purging Print Documents'. I've De & Re-installed the drivers... unplugged & plugged back in the power cable... Help! Any suggestions on what is wrong and how I can rectify! Thanks!

Is it a parallel connection, with a scanner on the same cable - try diconnecting the scanner.

Had a problem with such as this earlier today.

Your driver is most likely to have become corrupt. Try a re-install of your driver.

LOL, just saw your "unanswered" post. Came to have a look down the list.
