Epox EP-8RDA motherboard info.

Hi! there,

My friend has just knocked his computer, which he purchased from me over a year ago, rather badly, and it is failing to boot up. The computer, which I built, is built on an Epox EP-8RDA motherboard. Having checked all connectors etc., and the memory, it still would not boot up, so I fitted it with a new AMD Athlon XP 1900
processor. It still will not boot up. I have attempted to access the Epox websites to check the specifications for this motherboard, but after many attempts I still have not been able to achieve this. As the motherboard is a Socket A motherboard I think the AMD XP1900 processor should be compatible with it, but I am not sure.
Can someone confirm this for me, and also advise me on anything else worth checking in an attempt to rectify the problem.
Thanks for any advice given.

The will take a motherboard a athlon 2500 so a 1900+ should be fine.

Has the motherboard got some fsb jumpers? or can you take the cmos battery out for 30 mins and then try?

the guy here used a Barton 2500, so your Athlon 1900 should be OK click here
