I've just had to reformat my C drive following a system crash but when I try to run Microsoft Train Simulator I get a message about direct sound not found check your sound card.

I am using the onboard chip with the Realtek 5.10.5250 drivers. I have the on board chip enabled in the BIOS and also the audio legacy and soundlaster enabled. I am running DirectX v8.0

I am really unsure as to how to resolve this problem so any help will be gratefully received

All right bruv

I know it's a bit drastic, but why don't you buy a new soundcard.

Tee hee hee

Thanks fot the advice, I resolved the problem by buying a new soundcard and reinstalling MSTS and all is fine.
