Entering the wireless world query

I have a desktop PC running Blueyonder BB via ethernet cable to modem, and a laptop which is wireless-enabled.

Now my (probably very basic) question is, I want to set it all up so that the lappy can be used wirelessly, so do I just need a router, or do I need to have an adaptor for the desktop PC aswell. The modem and router will be situated next to the desktop PC.

You just need a "Wireless Cable/DSL" router. The desktop PC can connect to the router by ethernet cable and the laptop "wirelessly".
