Enable/Disable problem

  djsew 17:51 24 Feb 2007

Had to go and help novice PC user who had lost wireless connection to BT modem/router. Sure enough, the notebook’s sys-tray wireless icon showed disconnected as did the wireless icon in ControlPanel-NetworkConnections however, on Right(secondary)-Clicking that icon, top menu options was Disable. I would have expected Enable. Anyway, on Left(primary)-clicking Disable the wireless connection became enabled and the context menu option also became Enable ! Weird! Same thing happened with the local area connection icon.
Machine is Gateway MX6638B notebook with XP Home SP2. Regular mouse connected, but button function reversed for left-hander, however, phenomena was exhibited with touch pad in right-handed operation also.

Any one seen this happen?
