Emergency boot from CD

How do I 'enable' this in Windows XP Home?

But to boot from the XP CD you have to enter the BIOS and change the first boot device to your CD-ROM drive where your XP CD will be.

Thanks, I have never tried this forum system before. I only have an XP Recovery disk. The reboot disk I have formed from the Acronis True Image program as step 1. Also, I think I am getting out of my depth! I haven't a clue how to access DOS! That was a lousy goal decision tonight.


Setting up an external hard drive in order to create a mirror image should my hard drive crash.


Ok, i know what you are trying to do but I don't use True Image [I use Drive image 7] so woodchip should be able to help you out there.
