Embedded URLs in emails

I have been trying to assist a very elderly friend who is having problems whilst using Outlook Express. Can you help me to help him?

He has received emails from verious utility companies including BT and there is an address he should be able to double click and the page should appear in his Internet Explorer browser but nothing happens, he can copy and paste it with CTRL C and CTRL V.

He also receives embedded pictures in emails (not as attachments) and he is unable to access these and save them by right clicking and using Save AS.

He has in the passed had no trouble, and he has forwarded them to me and I can find no problem.

Could it be some setting in OE, I do noot know, I use Thunderbird.

Be very careful which links he's clicking on. Was he expecting these emails or are they unsolicited spam?
