Embed video clip into PowerPoint

I want to embed a video clip from YouTube into a PowerPoint presentation.
Any idea how I can do it then use the PowerPoint on another pc or laptop?

Many thanks

Open PP, go to Insert > Movies and Sound.

Then save it or "Packge it for CD" from the file menu.

Will that then embed a clip from a website?

You'll have to download the video first, as far as I know, Kernow999.

Use Save2pc to download it. click here

Thanks MAJ, I will give that a go later.
Much appreciated

I have tried that MAJ, but I got the error message 'Powerpoint cannot insert a movie from the selected file. Verify the path and file format are correct and then try again'
I was trying to insert a video clip from YouTube.
Any thoughts??

You're probably trying to insert an .flv file. When downloading with Save2PC, Choose to download as an .AVI file, then try to insert it as described.

Thanks MAJ! That worked better. However, now I just get the first frame of the clip then a black screen although the sound continues.
Any thoughts??
I really appreciate your help

Sounds like you don't have the correct codec installed, Kernow999, does the file play in Windows Media Player? If not download and install the Full K-Lite codec pack. click here

Having said that, Kernow999, the other computer that you want to use the presentation on might not have the correct codec either. Maybe downloading it as an MPEG rather than an AVI might be a better course of action.
