emails with attachments not being sent

  desi3026 23:12 13 Mar 2006

My outlook express has suddenly stopped sending emails with attachments or forwarding mails to outbox instead of sending.I get a "timeout" error 8x800ccc19.All other emails are sent ok.
Can anyone tell me in "idiotspeak"what this means, and how it can be rectified?

An interesting site johnny,a bit confusing though,I'll give it another going over, perhaps I'll see something I missed first time.
Could it have something to do with Avast &/or ZoneAlarm settings?

Maybe the attached files are too large?
What size and type are they?
Avast will sometimes stop sending .EXE files as they are taken to be a virus.
If that is the case then ZIP them before sending.

Thanks for that. They are mainly short films of planes landing and taking off lasting between 2-4 mins.I downloaded Avast & ZoneAlarm about three weeks ago,but this only started a couple of days ago.Would I have to download a zip programme like Winzip for this?

I imagine that a 4 min video film is quite a large file and may not even zip smaller.
You could always send them by using this site.

It's a very good service and will take files up to 1 GB.
Send one to yourself to test it.
