Email provider

I am looking for an Email provider that is more secure than Hotmail or Yahoo etc, ideally free!!!

Any ideas?

How do you mean, more secure? Any security weakness is in your password, not in the provider.

I've heard that Hotmail etc has suffered from hackers interfering. Maybe I'm wrong, any thoughts.

Which ISP do you have?

ISP = Pipex, however all of my inclusive addresses are used up.

How many e-mail addresses do you need?

2 would do

I think fear about hackers is paranoia. Why would a random hacker waste his or her precious time trying to break into hotmail accounts of people they don't know? They're bound to be full of stuff about going for a beer, random nonsense and chatter.

There are millions of hotmail accounts. If I were a hacker I'd find a more rewarding and fun target.

It's not impossible to bust into the account of someone you know reasonably well because you could probably guess if not their password then perhaps the answer to their secret question. Unless you think someone is attempting to do that, then you're safe.
